Probably not - you'd be too far away from the nearest tower. A satellite phone on the other hand might actually work better in space than on the ground since there would be no interference.

And of course roaming charges would apply! :)

Not unless the spacecraft or space station you were in had its own compatible cell site.

Probably Not. But if it did, you wouldn't be able to hear it since sound does not travel in the vacuum of space.

No, because the signal strengths used aren't strong enough to penetrate the atmosphere.
