It can be if it's disguised. It's a real head-snapper. As long as you get the guy's neck torquing, any one of the three is a very effective punch.

The uppercut is usually less powerful as it has less far to travel. However, because it hits the head on a point far away from the pivot point, it snaps the head back further and quicker than a hook, and much more so than a straight punch. Since the brain is rocked back very quickly it is a much more disorienting punch ... imagine being in a backward-facing seat while crashing into a wall and you get the idea of how violent the shock can be.

Both punches can be lethal it depends on who throws it for instance Michael Spinks Had the Spinks Jinks very effective Mike Tyson had an uppercut that could break your neck the left hook is used more because boxers are taught to throw it in a three punch combination left right hook this is why you see more knock outs by left hooks but the fighters that use the uppercut regularly are very effective it,s not harder to block it,s that a lot of fighters don,t look for it and that is another reason the punch is so effective the best thing about throwing a uppercut is you don,t have to hit the target your aiming at to hurt your opponent for instance if you Amie at the solarplexes and miss you can still hit him in the throat or chin or nose so as you can see the uppercut is a very dangerous weapon to avoid getting hit by an uppercut is to get as close to your opponent as poss able and cross your arms under your chin and bob from side to side don,t stan there straight in front of him and not move that will be 65.00 please

Depends on who's throwing it and the type of body they have, it's harder to land because you need to be inside, but it can be devastating. I'd say a hook can be thrown with the most power.

Sugar Ray described it beautifully, He said to a commentator in 50's on how he would hurt people, he threw a light blow to the commentators stomach, then he asked the commentator to close his eyes, he threw the same punch at he same force and the commentator buckled in two, sugar ray then said its the puches you dont see hurt the most no matter how hard they are thrown

upper cuts are harder to block because it comes underneath the guard . an upper cut is no more power full then a hook is . its the area that the upper cut lands that makes it devastating. the upper cut will land underneath the chin or the middle of the nose wots makes it more pain full believe me i no. .
