If the wedding took place between 1900 and 18months ago then you can order a copy of the certificate online from the general records office website if you have the date of the wedding. If not you may have to call and get them to do a serch with the names., but you can find that all on the website.

If it was less than 18 months ago you wold have to apply to the records office in the relevant district..eg Camden

Hope that helps...

Traditionally it is the bride's Church, and if you do get married there you will be enrolled in classes so as to understand what it's all about and to see if you are ready to get married. Today it isn't necessary to follow tradition you can choose wherever you want to have your ceremony. If your bride and her family insist on having a "Catholic" wedding and you agree and you do not want to have it in a Church you could look into finding a Priest that would come and Bless your wedding also inviting him to the reception to say a special prayer before dinner this way you would please everyone. It's always great if you can start off your marriage coming to an agreement on "where" your wedding will take place and "who" should officiate, just remember that this is between you and your bride don't worry about hurting peoples feelings yours is the only one that counts! Good Luck and Best Wishes to You and Your Fiance'.

Wouldn't it be easier to ask your boy to see his Marriage Certificate? On second thoughts that sounds too easy as I imagine you have already been down that road?

I think so but you will have to wait about 18months to guarantee that if the marriage took place it is in their records.
