no advantages!! side step left sets u up for a left hook , side step right set u up for right hook!! no advantages or disadvantages . .

Depends of who your boxing, alot of fighters
don't jab much at all or have wild looping right hands, after you size up your opponents style for 2 or 3 rounds, you'll know which way you want to move and then BOOM, the Counter...

I don't see much advantage, because you'll be walking into the guy's jab and left hook all night. Well, not all night because you'll be on the deck unless he's a southpaw.
