I am having the hardest time picking a date to get married. As each season comes I love it just as much as the last. I love Fall because I have always been a fall girl, but sooo many people I know got married in the fall so I would like to have something of my own. But I still just love the colors, the smells, and the feel of it. Winter, I like it because of christmas. But it is also so magical and I can think of a ton of ideas for my wedding to go along with the idea of winter/christmas. Then my other favorite is spring. I LOVE flowers. I love the smell, the warmth(i live in a very cold area in winter), the sounds, the flowers. But again it is a very popular time to get married. I just love something about every season, except summer, that it is making it very hard to come up with a time to get married. Does anyone have any advice? PLEASE HELP!!!

why get married

you dont have to get married to be with someone

we had a bunch of ppl over in the fall and had a huge bbq, fire works, and bon fire

we said our "vows" exchanged rings and have been happily unmarried for yrs

the only thing getting married is good for is spending lots of money doing it and lots of money to get out of it

you dont need to be married to get a loan a house or be on ins

I know its hard picking a date, if you would go with winter wedding, there might be a change of a snow storm or it's easier because alot of people aready take off of work for the holidays and you can go with a winter wonderland theme.

Summer time, traveling is more expensive because alot of people travel in the summer specially 4th of july weekend and labor day( and depending where you are going for your Honeymoon) and an outdoor wedding wouldn't be a good idea. On the other hand having a spring wedding it not a bad idea you can have a wedding indoors/outdoors, there is not much going on, and you said you love flowers.

Fall wedding, i had a fall wedding, it was gorgeous, but i planned my wedding so it would fall on the week before the leaves start falling of the trees. so there was some leaves on the ground but the trees still had that redish, brownish, orange color and they looked amazing. if you go with a fall theme wedding consider taking your signature picture with a fall background maybe go to your favorite park. Well i hope this helps you out. Good Luck and congratulations!

Just pick a date and go with it. Word of warning though - last Saturday I went to a wedding...yeah, we all know how cold the midwest has been the last couple of weeks! I thought the parking lot alone was going to be the end of me. They had originally wanted to do outdoor pics at the museum - not gonna happen when it was too cold, windy as hell and snowing to boot. Just something to keep in mind - do you want your guests, your bridal party, even you to be miserable having to venture out into bad weather like that? And too, with winter, there's always the possibility of the occasional bad snowstorm keeping many people at home. I think fall would be best for you...but then you piss off all the college football fans (for example, my boyfriend - two falls ago had to miss his favorite game because one of his boys got married on that day, this past fall, we had something going on every weekend in September and October and most of November as well; this coming fall we were actually going to go to that game but another of his boys is getting married. Late spring would be a good option...better to deal with rain than snow!

I had a September wedding. I'm partial to fall weddings myself. Oddly...we got married on 9/11, but back in 93. Winter risks the chance of snow!!! Too much can be a BIG problem! Plus Christmas is a taxing time on people in general with time and money. Stick to early fall or late Spring.

I had the same problem. Sounds to me like you like the fall time best. Go for that. The majority of people get married in the Spring, but in truth, a lot of people get married all throughout the year, so just do what you like best. Remember to make your day special and unique and make it work for you. I planned a February wedding but ended up getting married in January because I had planned it all wrong. I wanted a small wedding, and it grew out of control. So make sure that you pick a time of year that fits you and your husband and your wedding ceremony. Don't forget, time of day is very important too! Congratulations!

i personally love fall, especially october. here in newyork, the colours are gorgeous, the smells are soooooo good (mmm....apple cider...fresh apple cider!! and hay and pumpkins, and all that!!) however, due to schooling, we're getting married in june, which is also very pretty with flowers. even though you know soo many people who have gotten amrried then, it will still be special and unique because every couple and every wedding is completely different!! it's what you as a couple bring to it that makes it special and unique, not the date itself!! go for whatever you, and your fiance really want, and stick with it!! don't worry about what others did!!

i would suggest you look at budget, if your budget isn't going to be that big then pick a month that isnt that poplular to get married in, such as feb, oct and work around there, or the other way to do it is find a venue you like then find out what they have available
