I believe that life has a natural pattern which if we all followed, we'd all be a lot happier. We do have free will and can venture from this path as much as we want, but for true happiness we need to follow the path that the universe chose for us :)

I use to believe in soul mates. No, I don't believe in fate anymore. Probably everything does happen for a reason. I just pick the wrong ones!

It's the way our brains work: there is no fate, but when we are going through tough times, it's useful to think something like that because the truth is every experience is useful if we learn to adapt.
One thing is certain: everything changes. And our brains need to simplify things into some sort of pattern we can easily digest: we set goals, we stereotype people and objects, we trying to perceive order (sometimes where it may not exist). Being healthy means understanding this and understanding that we have to adapt to circumstances beyond our control and make the best of the opportunities that present themselves, and above all... we must learn to become integrated beings.
Integrity: consistency between thoughts, actions, and emotions is a life-long struggle, and some folks never seem to figure it out.

Yes, I believe in soul mates and I DON'T believe it has to be someone you're dating, or in love with. I'm married and my soul mate is my very best friend. I consider her my twin.
Everything DOES happen for a reason. The reason things happen is because of a combination of God and personal choice. God loved us enough to give us free will to choose what we want to do (to believe in Him or not to). So "fate" is just what's destined for us.

i believe soul mates are designed to help you evolve and learn quicker. on your own it would take you a lot longer to learn the lessons needed, but with a soul mate you can learn off each other so that is why i believe soulmates often have different strengths and weaknesses from each other so they can look at the partner and learn and pick up from their strengths that maybe their own weakness, and vice versa.
so it could work like a lock and key rather than just being with someone that is similar to yourself.
when you look for a partner or find a partner it maybe that they are not physically what you are after or maybe they annoy you etc but they maybe the best person for you to learn your life lessons, which is sometimes why we have to endure bad relationships with some people sometimes because of particular lessons we can learn from these people. i believe your life is planned and mapped out before you come down so it is already written but in part by yourself.
some people have triggers so that they can recognise their soulmate when they see them , i.e my wife and i now after we have married have the same initials KJH .

I believe some loves are like a dim star you can only see on the darkest nights, others are like the sun shutting out the rest of the sky.
It makes you almost believe in fate or reincarnation when love is so bright. But it could just be some kind of psychological lock and key.
I like to use the concept of fate as a tool. Some things in life do just happen to you, beyond your control. Your job is to deal with these things with some grace and stay true to yourself.

Life is what you make of it, by saying that everything happens for a reason is like saying we have no control over our future.
"fate" and "soul-mates" are made up terms to let people think that their are better things out there for them.
The truth is that if we don't live for today and actually go for the dreams that we have then we will live boring lives because these things don't come looking for you!!

I do believe in soulmates-and I believe I've found mine. I believe it was fate when I found him,as it was such a fluke! As for things happening for a reason-yes. Recently-after 2 1/2 years together we had our first argument-and it was serious! I'd pretty much believed the relationship was over-but then we talked and really opened up to each other-and it made us stronger. So-even though what led to the argument was very painful for me-I do believe there was a very good reason for it to happen.

I do believe that there is a pattern to things, but not that absolutley everything happens for a reason. I don't believe in soul mates as I think you can have many in your life and that they can come in different forms - not just romantic (pets, family, friends...).

I am a total destiny/fate person. I believe in soul mates and that there is a special person for everyone whether they find them or not. I hope that doesn't sound too corny.
