I love throwing bachelorette parties. Here are some ideas:

1. Have a theme. For example: An 80s themed party -- and dress from head to toe in proper 80s attire. Or a “Bad Wedding” theme – Wear terrible bridesmaids dresses and find a ghastly dress for the bride at Goodwill! Wearing costumes always make people loosen up/

2. Make black tool veil head bands for the guests that are in mourning, and a white one for the bride attached to a crown.

3. For an ice breaker, make penis name tags. Cut penises out on white tag board and have the girls had to color the penis to represent them. "I'm Susie and I'm a teacher, so mine has apple balls and a ruler shaft."

4. Make up a toast to do at dinner. Give each girl is line from the toast and have it fit the "theme". For the 80s party, one line said "May Conor always wake you up before he go - gos."

5. Play "Suck for a Buck." The bride wears a white shirt that says "Suck for a Buck" and is covered with lollipops. Men pay a dollar, to take off a lollipop hands free.

6. Play the Name Game. She wears a shirt that is covered with common and not so common male names. She carries a pen, and men cross off their name on her shirt.

7. Video tape the groom answering questions about himself ("what is the name of your alter ego" or "what is the sexiest thing the bride has ever done") and play back the tape letting the guests and bride answer the questions then here the answers right from him.

8. The best thing I always do is send an email survey to each guest asking questions about there relationship with the bride (when did they meet, how they became friends, advice for wifehood). I print up the answers, cut them out, and decorate the party space with them. Some answers are funny, some are sweet, and everyone loves reading them. We turned it into a scrapbook at the end of the party.

I'm getting married soon. Somethings I was thinking about doing were having a few friends go to a drag queen show that is put on Chicago, or they're is a retro play/dance called 80's prom. I just want something fun, dancing, a few drinks, I'm not really to crazy about the whole stripper thing.

for a bachelorette party i planned all of the girls/moms came to my house to "pregame." i decorated the house all girl-y & everyone brought a finger food & a drink of choice to share. everyone also brought a present, some gag, some meaningful. after food/drinks (we all got full tummys and a little buzz on cheap) we headed out to a few bars. it was s fun night & not too expensive bc we started at my place. the bachelorette wore a tiara & a sash that said "bachelorette" & she did a few dares from a dare book.
i also planned another "theme" bachelorette party where we made tank tops & the brides said "stop for the bride" with a stop sign on the front & her name on the back & the girls wore tanks that said "yield to the bride" on the front & "bachelorette security" with our names on the back.
both parties were so much fun! they were both nice bc they were personalized & had a nice theme to go along with them.

I am not sure where you are located, but how about a short girls trip to Vegas? Last time I was out there I saw several bachellorette party groups trolling the city - they looked like they were having a blast!

For my cousin's bachelorette party we took a weekend trip to Atlantic City. We made her wear this bachelorette shirt that had a check list on it - she had to get a stripper to sign it, touch a guy's chest (couldn't be the stripper), etc. We also made her wear a veil that was decorated with penises and condoms. We got her very drunk (and ourselves) and then had a stripper come to the hotel room. We played games (who knows the bachelorette best, the truth game, etc) and went to a club. It was crazy fun...

or you could go the traditional route of buying all kinds of crazy penis paraphanalia and then making your friend go out--thats what my friends did to me. But I think a party before the party is a great idea. Good Luck!!!

Well for mine my friend planned something kinda basic but we added some fun stuff in there. There's not much to do around here so we were going to go to the beach or memphis or something but I just decided not to. So we went out to eat but we dressed up really nice and we got feather boas and of course i had the banner on that said bride to be. all of my friends maid their own to wear out of caution tape they found that said "caution wild women". we got little name tags that were made for bach. parties and gave our self funny names like "big boobs magee" most of them were sexually oriented. I had the shotglass necklace, dickie boppers (headband), etc. we ate and drank and had a good time then went to a club. they had a band playing that night. then my friend gave us all sheets of stickers that said "best abs", "biggest nerd", "best overall" etc. and we had to run around and put them on guys, so that was rather interesting. we just stayed in a hotel in town and it was a blast! simple but fun.
