I have just finished taking medication for a BV infection the medication is (metronidazole 500 mg take twice a day)same as flagyl. I forgot to take my orange active aviane birth control pill Saturday but I did take one for Sunday which was the inactive pill . Monday I saw I didn't take the one for Saturday and so I took the bc pill now I am not having a normal period I am not sure if the medication is making my period abnormal or if I am pregnant I did have sex Saturday it was about 3:00 am . I don't think I should be pregnant but the medication is known for making bc weak. I am having dark bleeding since Monday the day my period should have came on does this sound like i am pregnant? I am going to take a test today or should I wait until this week is over? I am so confused.

I appreciate all comments and suggestions. The bleeding is not really heavy but it's dark brown when I wipe it's a brownish color. I just am nervious of a pinkish brownish color it seems to have indicating like before pregnancy just had a baby not ready for another one so soon hopefully I need to be more safer if I am not ready for another one. I will hopefully it's a false alarm.

What you're having is your period. It's just messed up, because you messed up your BC. Pregnancy most generally doesn't make you bleed and bleeding is never a sign of pregnancy. There's is no need to take a test. Even if you are pregnant, it's not going to show up for at least another couple of weeks.

I was on that medicine not that long ago and it did not make me weak. It is just an infection pill.

Are you sure your not having a miscarriage cause i had brown bleeding when i had my miscarriage.
Miscarriage Symptoms
A miscarriage is the loss of a pregnancy before 20 weeks and it is nature's way of ending a pregnancy that is not developing normally. The length of the pregnancy will effect the number and severity of miscarriage symptoms.

A miscarriage that takes place shortly after conception can occur as a slightly late, slightly heavy period. Symptoms can vary from person to person, but there are common ones that generally occur:

Bleeding. This can range from brownish spotting to heavy bleeding. It is important to note that many women experience spotting or bleeding during pregnancy and about 50% of the time, the pregnancy progresses normally.
Pain or cramping in the lower abdominal area. The pain could be on just one side, both sides, or in the middle. You may also experience pain in the genitals, lower back, thighs, or buttocks.
You may notice that pregnancy symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness have subsided or lessoned. Be aware that some women do not notice any change in these symptoms, while others do.
Some women say that didn't "feel right" just prior to their symptoms.
If you are pregnant and experiencing symptoms you should contact your health care provider. If any of the following symptoms occur you should go the Emergency Room immediately:

Heavy bleeding
Passing clots or something that looks like tissue (bring the tissue to the hospital in a clean container)
A fever higher than 100.4 degrees F
Dizziness or fainting
A history of tubal (or ectopic) pregnancy
Severe vomiting
Severe pain the abdomen or back
If you have any uncertainty about the need to contact your health care provider, call him or her immediately.

it sounds like the meds and missing your BC is messing with your cycle. i'd wait on the test unless you start having symptoms or other reasons to think you're preggo.
