I am asking Christians who put all of their faith in the bible, without knowing who wrote it, who translated it, who selected it to be included. All of these things would be just as important to me if I was putting all of my faith in a book. I know many Christinas partake in bible study. Does that also include these things? Or do you believe that the hand of god guided everything? Don't you think it is remotely possible that anytime that man is involved, they might have an agenda?

Precisely.

To put all of your faith in something without bothering to look into it origin is absurd.

The perfect way for so-called evil to fool the faithful.

This is in fact the only way this could happen.

Great logic Tuila.

Are you studying the course in miracles?

You sounds like it at times.

Love and blessings Don

A lot of different people wrote the different books of the Bible and most of it was written based on generations of the spoken word. People have trouble with when it was written. The customs were different so how does that apply today, kind of questions. There are Bible studies of all sorts available for everyone searching for the answers. If you seriously want historical information you can take courses at university's religious departments. There is also a Bible that is geared specifially toward history and archeological finds. Plus a wealth of info on the internet. E-sword is a source of tons of translations of the Bible, I have been told.
Yes, I believe that the hand of God guides everything, as well as allowing free will in our lives. We have to take the responsiblity to take up the cross - he isn't going to force us to. And yes, anytime man is allowed to try and interpret God's will things can go very wrong.
Who wrote what is not as important as the message it contains. Look at the message not the messenger.

Dear Friend,

The Bible teaches us that the bible was written by man but: 2 Timothy 3:16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

This means that the men writing the scriptures were bourne along by Holy Spirit and that the Lord gave them the words to write.

The bible also taught us that faith is Hebrews 11:1-3 is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

I hope this answers your questions'

God Bless

Well if you have read the bible. Each book was wrote by a specific person that God lead to write. Im not sure who translated it from language to language. I do think its important to know each person who wrote the books. Its very interesting too, because some of them used to be sinners and then they were saved and followed God. Its awesome! the bible studies I have been to, read from the bible and we intrepret things not so easy to understand.

God inspired those men to write the KJV.
The mandate began July 22,1604. King James Appointed 54 men to translate an authorized version. Those men were scholars. Well I have done my homework which there is more I could write but fact is God used those men to write the word of God and he used the KJV in many great revivals were many souls were saved. No other bible can claim this.

Their religious leaders guide then away from any enquiry into such things because they realise if people become aware of the Bible's history and manufacture they will realise fully that it cannot be the word of God in any way, shape or form.

Excellent Question!
Dixie below is is incorrect of course... the writings in the Bible are only attributed to these saints, highly convenient too don't you think, gives an air of added authority to the actual writers who were anonymous and probably desert-cave dwellers.

No doubt there have been corruptions over the years. We must consider with doubt the understandings of the translators. They tended to read their understanding in the text even when it wasn't really there. Churchianity is a pagan religion. It bears no real resemblance to the true faith presented in Scriptures. Yes, the Scriptures is "The Word of YHVH" and He has made Himself responsible for keeping it adequate for mans salvation.

Absolutely, many men have agendas. However, my knowledge of the Bible proves to me without a doubt that God dictated or inspired it in order to have it be so consistant and applicable to every person in every country in every sort of walk of life over thousands of years and in all situations. The Bible works. Really study it--every day for years and you will prove it to yourself as well.

It is important who wrote the bible. It is also self explanatory.Matthew,Mark, Luke, John,etc..........These men were men of god whom God gave the task to write certain books of his life and times on this earth. This is the oldest book ever published. It has withstood the hands of time. The writing, the words, the history is all important as a whole.
