Sad. I posted a question about adoption also and got about 5 answers.
There are so many babies and kids without parents out there than need a home.
This is geared especially toward those of you that take every single opportunity possible to speak out so vehemently about abortion.
Come on!

Don't misunderstand. I am not necessarily advocating abortion. I thought it was interesting though that so many JUMP on questions regarding abortions and birth control and I get NO response regarding foster care and very few on adoption. What the?
Regardless...anyone who has adopted, seriously considered adoption, or cared for foster children deserves infinite credit in my opinion. Here you have these children born into a big world with no true love, stability or security to speak of. Imagine? Yes there is the "system"...but how does that compare to warm, loving parents who provide a safe and secure environment?
My thought/plan is to adopt. I have one child of my own but would LOVE to adopt as well. Several members of my family are adopted.
COME ON YOU ANTI-ABORTION CRUSADERS!!!! What do you think?!?!? And stick to the issue - these kids!!!!

More people respond to questions about ignored questions than they do about adoption.
You've just proved it..and it is sad-I agree

We went through foster care to try to adopt and got a big slap in the face. We wanted to adopt a child first then foster and the office refused!! Said they needed temp homes more! So here we are with a 3/2 house and a yard with no children because we wanted a family before we fostered!! You tell me wheres the sense in that!!

I don't know what your question was, but here is a piece of info I feel I could share anyway. At our local community college they offer classes to parents about adopting and/or fostering children. They are usually free or small fee if there is a book that is being distributed. Never more than $10 though. Maybe you could check with your local colleges to see if they offer something similar. Also, the Department of Human Services would be a good source for any questions or concerns. I wish I would have joined earlier, then maybe you you wouldn't feel so disappointed.

Foster Care is great, when you have the ability for it. I would find it hard to let a child go, if we had bonded.
In my church, we had a family that had fostered, over the years, 15 children !! It truly was one of their ministries.
They loved it; I met one of the children--she seemed very happy to have been cared for so much.
So many foster homes can be abusive; I've heard HORRIBLE stories--even rape. But, if the home is good, and the child isn't passed from one to another to another--which is hard on the child--then, it is better than being in the adoption home endlessly.

I've noticed lately that when I post a question, I get maybe 5-6 answers within the first 5-10 minutes, and then nothing after that. I have been wondering the same thing, on all types of question.

I know I've posted a few questions about adoption, and only get a few no more the 5 answers but the 100% stupid questions get like 20 and thirty.I have no clue why.

I could have not been ignored but difficult to answer. I agree with you that there are issues the foster care system but is killing an innocent child the answer. My wife and I are struggling to conceive a child yet people are out there killing theirs. Yes abortion is murder. If you don't want then give it up for adoption. There are plenty of wanting couples out there.

Just because you are interested does not mean others are. Those who speak out so vehemently about abortion are usually dried up old men or ladies who are not affected by it. Or affluent white people who find it a pro or con situation to be involved in so their resumes will look fatter.
The only popluar adoption is hollywood weidos adopting foreign babies. They do this for more publicity. Sorry to be so blunt, but there always has been too many babies for too few parents and there always will be.
I guess it is just not glamorous enough.

Good point, I really don't know what to say. People shouldn't have a kid if they are not ready but if they don't get an abortion it goes up for addoption...what happend when no one is addopting it??? I am opened minded about it. I plan on addopting at least 2 of my children...I plan on having a very large family.

Most likely because most of the regular users know nothing about foster care and can't answer the question.
