You have been put on "HOLD". Just like when you call a business. Only this time it is more like you have been put on "IGNORE". Catalog this relationship and add it to your baggage. You know, the stuff that makes us who we are.

From your question I can tell you are able to write, I assume you speak as well as you write. If you don't smell bad that is more than enough bait to catch a man. A boy may need other things but men are different.

Good luck, I wonder if he knows what he gave up. Some of us guys are simply not the sharpest tools in the shed. Now, go find a sharp one.

A lot of people have correctly answered this. The guy is going to play the field and he knows that if he leaves you hanging with hopes of getting back together that you won't "be with someone else" - just in case he hasn't found a replacement for you within two months and he finds himself horny.

Your best bet is to date other people. If he wants to know what you plan to do, tell him that you're going to date other people while you're "waiting". Or just tell him that you don't know yet - it's really none of his business anyway.

But seriously, it's very likely that you'll meet someone else in the next few months who will be SOOOOOO much better than this guy.

Personally, I would say that if it is meant for you and your boyfriend to be together, then it will be. Try to involve yourself in other activities, family and friends to keep you sane. Just give him a little time to collect his thoughts. True love doesn't go away that easy. I've been there recently myself. It is hard to get over, but in the end, you will really be able to tell if the love was real or lust. Just take your time, and be patient. Remember, stay sane!!!

Most people will be over the other person in 2 to 3 months.
Give yourself time and stay away from him. If you go to him it will make it harder on yourself.
Good Luck

He is done with the relationship and now wants the opportunity to pursue other women for a couple of months. He will then see if he wants to get back with you. the truth is he is done with you and you need to move on.

you're stuck because he is using you... the line that he is using, "give him 2 or 3 months": is so he can date, and sleep with others, and you wont...i'm sure he doesnt love you, or he wouldnt have taken a "break" from you

He is finished with you and doesn't have the guts to say so. Give it time. You'll move onto better things.
