Not many make tours to this place, because there is so many other trips who is better.
But you can always get a taxi driver to guide you around, but there is not much to see.

I don't think so as HM the King is now staying at the palace but you can visit King Rama VI's summer palace not far away from Klai Kangwon palace... I guess around 20 km. closer to Bangkok (between Hua Hin and Cha-am beach). The name is Maruek-kathayawan (don't know pronouce it right). The palace designed by Italian Architect and built by chinese carpenters. It's one of the huge teak palace in Thailand after Vimarnmek Teak Palace in Bangkok.

There can be tours organised as long as the Thai Royal Family is not in residence there. Place is opened from 9am to 4pm daily. Best to check if it is ok to visit before trying to head there.
