You shouldn't be embarassed...no one will really care that you're still a virgin. But if you are you could always just tell people you were waiting for marriage and then changed your mind. Haha. You should just take a risk and ask someone out! The worst thing that can happen is that they say no and that's not really that big a deal, is it? No, it's not...at all! Just ask a girl on a date and if she's hesitant just tell her you just want one date to get to know her better...then if all goes well things could progress from there. Don't feel sad or like a failure, you should feel proud that you've waited for the right person. If a 22 year old guy told me he was still a virgin I'd not only be impressed that he waited, I'd be impressed at his honesty.

Don't be sad. It's better to wait for Miss Right than to go with Miss Right Now. You are not a failure for choosing to wait. There is nothing wrong with that. I wish our society would stop demeaning people for waiting. This is why we have so many teen moms because peer pressure says everyone should get laid by high school grad. It's ridiculous. I would suggest joining a club or group in your area. Something with people who have similar interests to yours. Then you will be able to talk about those interests without the sexual tesion of a guy trying to chat up a girl for a date situation. This will make it easier for you to learn to talk to new people. Maybe you can become friends with some girls and maybe a relationship could bloom from that. Just give it a try. Shyness can only be overcome with practice. Each time you speak and don't die of a heart attack or have lightening smite you down, it will make it easier to talk to someone the next time. Good Luck!

Being a virgin at 22 is nothing to feel sad about. Many people have kept their virginity, till the right time, hell even until death, but if you want to lose it so badly then take positive measures to obtain this. Maybe its your verbel communication, work on it with friends or even in a mirror. Worried about physical apperances maybe? The eat healthy, exercise, and so on.

sounds like me except I lost mine at 18 but still same. The woman thats now my wife of almost 11 years had to chase me down. We met at a conference and she whispered that she wanted to talk to me and I was so shy that as soon as we got a break I ran for the elevator, but she got there before it did. I was so shy that I could barely look her in the eyes and to tell you the truth she had to trick me into talking to her. She made me think she was interested in my friend but the whole time she was interested in me. After awhile we got to talking about ourselves and we talked all night long and right before we hung up she admitted she liked me and by then I knew this was the girl I wanted to marry, when the conference was over we both lived 5 hours away from each other but we keep talking everynight and like 3 weeks later there was another conference closer to where she lived and I went after she picked me up and I went to her house supposedly for a weeks visit but I never left. We met in may moved in together in june and married in august of the same year and here we are 10 years later, but the key to it was that she took the time to ease me into it. As embarassing as it is to admit our first kiss was took so much work on her part, I was so nervous and shy that she had to turn the light off and cuddle up to me and then just kinda attack me when I wasn't expecting it, and sex lol well lets just say that she was really patient and sweet and leave it at that but before her I had never kissed a girl hell I had never even held hands with a girl. I was so shy that if I liked a girl I avoided her like she had the plague. Well I couldn't figure out your question so I figured the best thing i could do for you was to share my own experiances with you so at least you know you aren't the only one who has been through this. Good luck and hang in there the right girl will hunt you down when the time is right.

Pls ignore some of the snide remarks you gonna get (especially from guys) I think you should stay that way. You don't find it alot anymore ever among girls. People are to focussed on sex then anything els.
When you find the right woman you will be glad that you waited for her... It is something you share with someone you love, not just anyone...

What do you want to do? Are you really attracted to someone? Don't have sex with someone unless you are really turned on by them. Live life spontaneously and don't just make out for the heck of it. I'd probably wait till marriage. At any rate, don't make sex an aim in itself. More important is enjoying people and relationships.

I'm 20 but a girl and a virgin and people think I dont know anything just because I am. It annoys me. I just havent found the right guy and I'm not going to sleep with some random guy just because and you shouldnt sleep with a random girl just so you can say you are not a virgin.
