I have an ezidry food dehydrator, can I simply slice lambs liver or lamb meat and dry it for my dog without any pre-treatment/ salt/ preservatives?
Also can I dry whitebait without pre-treatment?, mutley loves dried white-bait, anyone with a dog knows how expensive these things are. Thank you for any feedback.

Had never thought of this one before! A search brought up this:

The first reference gives a lot of do-it-yourself doggie treat recipes in general, which you might find helpful. About half-way down the page, he says this: slice lean meat or liver, and put it on the lowest heat until it's completely dry and easy to handle without my paws getting at all yucky. (this site looks very good, actually, and includes links to other sites at the bottom of the page)

Sorry, could find nothing about 'white bait'. I would just experiment a bit, following the method for the liver and lamg. There are tons of neat recipes for dog snacks, but since you weren't asking for them, I'll just leave it like this. Maybe someone else will come along with first hand knowledge...
