i am 5'3", weight 128 lbs, ahd two kids ( the last in 2001)...
i dont feel overweight, my arms and legs are nicely toned... but my stomach... is nothing but a round little ball of fat...
i know you can not spot reduce but you can spot tone...
im wondering if i mainly focus on my abs... will i see any improvement to them? and since muscle burns more calories than fat wont it slim down naturally?
if any one knows please let me know...
thanks..

I've heard and I'm not quite sure if I believe it but maybe you have to increase the excercise as you get more into it. I feel like crunches don't work for much. I've tried them but when I do crunches/sit-ups on a bouncy ball, I'm sore for about a day and half. Maybe you should give that a try :)

If you want to train abs then you should workout 5 times a week, and out of those 2 workouts for your abs per week.

People do think if they work abs on daily basis, they'll lose the fat... it doesn't work that way...
~ get into some High intensity cardio in your workouts.
~ go to gym and lift weight
~ abs workout 2 times week.

doing sit ups without getting rid of the excess 'fat' will not help. it will give you abs, but only under the fat. do a good cardio with a healthy diet, and THEN do the sit ups. believe me, one of my mates tried to get rid of the belly doing sit ups, and it wasnt working, did some cardio and the fat fell off, but then he had these stupid out of plave abs because the were hiding under the fat!!!

a consistent diet will help you lose all the tummy fat.at first you will lose fat from all your body but if you do cardio & abs, you will see results at the area of the stomach very soon

You can't just train you abs and shed the fat off completely. training your abs will make your abdonimal muscles more developed but in order to see those abs you'll have to burn off the layer of fat covering them. Diet and excercise, thats it.

maybe this will shed some light, and inspire you somehow:
