DURIAN! I was the first gourmet in the world to match durian with wine in 2004 in Singapore. They said it could not be done because it was always believed that any form of alcohol (beer, whisky, rum, etc.) with durian would be fatal to the consumer. Many VIPS including top diplomats from the US Embassy and British High Commission attended the event. We all survived and I played Elton John's hit, "I'm still standing!" at the end.
