Because most commerical software (like Photoshop) not only puts files in the Program files\Photoshop directory, but also into the Windows directory, the system32 directory, and makes dozens of enteries into the registry, copying it from one computer to another is not practical.
They do this because the program runs better of certain files are in Windows and system32, but also to keep people from copying it to dozens (or hundreds) of other computers illegally.
If you do not have the original dsik, it is unlikely that you will be able to successfully transfer the program to another computer without hours and hours of work.

Let's talk about legallities first. If it's a paid program and it says in the EULA agreement that it's registered soley to you, you can't legally do this, for example Microsoft O/S or Office even if you install it with the original disk and CD Key, they'll catch you during an update...you can however call them and buy another Key. If the first pc's fried you can install it on another computer get with MS and let them know of the change in owner ship. If it's freeware...find the site and download it again to your CD or DVD burner and have fun...or go to the other computer and download it from the web.

Here you can find a free download of GIMP: [link]
GIMP is a free program you can use for a bunch ot tasks like photo retouching, image authoring and image composition. In my opinion it is the best free photo editing software on the market. It's not as powerful as photoshop, but it's free and can be augmented with plugins and extensions. These features make it the most advanced free photo-retouching software. GIMP can be used as a simple paint program or a complex image-manipulation software (thanks also to to a very advanced scripting interface)

If you have no money :
Go to bit torrent dot com and install the free software then use the free software to download a new version of the program. When downloading software this way it is advisable to scan it for viruses before installing it.
If you have a fair amount of cash :
Buy a new copy, and this time try not to lose the disks.
If you have loads of money :
make a donation to my pension fund.
=)

Well it's just the matter of copy and paste. If you have a flash drive with a lot of memory it will do. Make sure to copy everything related to those programs and save it into the flash drive. Then just save it into your new computer.

You have the installed files on your system and this does not help in creating a setup file.
Your best option would be to download the trial version from the internet or buy a new cd.
Here is the link for photoshop:

I'm sorry. Windows installation puts lots of stuff in the registry and moving the files won't work. You really need that CD.
