Lent is not festival. The day before is. During Lent we took at our lives and see how we can live better lives as Christians. If you approach this in a positive way as a way to become a better person, you could say it is a festival but most people will find it difficult to change negative habits.

Definitely not. I think of Lent as a period of contemplation of Christ's sacrifice and love for us. Now EASTER is Definitely a festival!!!

No, I would not.

Lent is a time set aside for reflection, prayer, meditation, fasting, mortification to get in touch with our in most spirit connection with Almighty God.
During the year we can get off the track and
this time is set aside by the church to allow us to not get too far afield and submerged too deeply in the ways of the world.
Meditating on Jesus the Christs' life on earth and sacrifices and suffering and teachings is recommended.
The Lenten Season is forty days and forty nights to commemorate Jesus fasting in the desert for that amount of time.
