My fiance has a large underbite and wants to get it fixed. How much does a typical surgery like this cost? How long does it takes for an underbite patient to look normal?

my daughter had one she was in danger of losing all her teeth if she fell they told us.its an orthandontic job not surgery(she is 16)she needed different types of devices on her mouth at first(inside her mouth|)i think they are called twin blocks not sure.then eventually braces to pull her teeth into line once her jaw was straightened.it was painful to wear but it was worth it now its done cos she looked like one of them horrific cartoon characatures in the beano!!now she is perfect.she still has another year before they class her jaw as permanent and she has to wear a retainer to make sure her teeth stay put while the year passes.dont know if its different if you are older, ask your dentist nothing to lose everything to gain.
