Priest is specially for a few where as the religious life is for mandatory. In the end the priests will not have any special preference than the ordinary people.
I would rather like to fill the earth with professional religious people than have many priest and a hand full of faithful ones.
You can as well serve God by being a nice, kind and help full person n not necessarily by being a priest only.

I live a pretty spiritual life, thinking about entering the priesthood. I certainly don't regret it. It's a hard road with all the manufactured desires of this society; but if you are able to keep things in perspective, it's quite liberating. I laughingly shrug the diamonds, cars, women etc. It's not worth the trade off. I'm much happier.

There is a good future. People listen to priest and religious head, and make wars, and kill, and cause damage and destruction. It is possible to rise high in the religious organization, and make a lot of money, and have a lot of power. In today's world they are the most respected lot. They don't have to know much, what ever they say, right or wrong, people are ready to believe them, and act accordingly.

Practcing, religious life is better for common man by following the born in religion than to become a priest. Priest has to be role model and ideal guru who leads a pious life, and he should not be tied with bondages, which is not possible for many common people.

I serve full time in the ministry and would not have it any other way. Get away from corporate life---it is an exercise in futility. There is no security in it and you will be in a constant state of misery. free yourself from the world and join the family of God. The only way that you can know true freedom is to submit yourself to a life of serving God. Trust me on this.

Both are wonderful ways of living your Christian life. The Lord needs workers. Many are called. Few respond. If you think God is calling you, check it out. You will not know until you try it. God's peace to you!

personally i think its great
that is sort of what i want to do now
but not sure for which belief ,where ,when
all that otyher stuff
wasnt raised into any creed , catholic comes closest for me but hate ritual and love jesus and his father but not as being the same person
would love to do the door to door one of witness of jehova but feel more than 144,000 are saved
we all are
then there perhaps is missionary work
you have to realise while many are called you have to choos your self
only you know what is right for you
all bekliefs are fine but what belief can i believe in enough to do it
if you have one go for it it is a high calling
the highest if your called to serve god.

This is a call from God to someone... if he/she decides to answer then he/she is different.... and will make a difference in this world....
... I encourage all who receive this call and choose to answer it to do so... He who called them has chosen them and annointed them to be sent and bare fruits that will stand and give testemony...
... be blessed in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
