Somewhere in the bigining of the Bible, it says God created man in his image. That means God has the body of a man.

BUT somewhere else in the Bible, it says God is the one and only God.

So if God is the one and only God and has the body of a man, why would he need reproductive organs? If He is almighty, couldn't he just change form to whatever He wished?

The image of God, in which we have been made, consists of such things as personality, choice, emotions, a moral sense of right and wrong, and creativity. The Bible does not teach that the image of God has anything to do with a physical image.

True, He could do all that but if you read carefully, God changed man. Why? Because at the beginning man was perfectly complete in God's image and likeness, but he was lonely then God separated the female from the male and created the woman.

Dear Friend,

In the book of Genesis you are correct in saying: Genesis 1:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, [b] and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

The Lord did not physically mean in his own image because the bible says that John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

He meant that when he made the first man and woman he made them perfect (as is he)

I hope this answers your question

God Bless

You started off with an incorrect assumption.
God creating man in his own image, does not mean God has a human body.
God breathed into the shell, called a body, his divine spirit.
God is One.
Our spirit is one with his.

God is a Spirit. Our soul is a spirit. God made our soul in God's image. God is also Love. We are made with the capacity to share in God's love, when we love. This is not sexual love but the love we have for all people on a deeper spiritual level.

i think u misunderstand the meaning of the "Creation".
It says Human were made in God's image.
However we know that an image can be both physical and mental...

Most believe that God created mankind as intelligent and with a will of his own - ability to make concious logical choices. We have been created and in turn our mentality is to create and make choices...
I think the "image" is merely an easy way to explain to ancient humans : "man was created with a mental capacity that is similar to God"

it all comes down to our ability to think

In his image means just that. Look in a mirror, that is your image but it is not you. My child looks like me, but she is not me. That would indicate to me that we look similar to God, but we are not God
