Maybe being inferior to others makes you want to feel superior. For so long, you have had no power. And now you want some for yourself. If you are human, you are bound to disagree with others, and try to dominate. And keep in mind, that most of the people who answer questions on yahoo are here on yahoo because they have nothing better to do with their lives. So don't feel down when a cyber bully tries to push you around. Just follow these simple steps;
1. Shut off the computer
2. Go outside
3. Get your back hair waxed
Then you can say you've done something productive
:D

well that just depends on the situation. when you were talking to this someone, was what you were saying, wrong? were they just trying to argue their point? if so, that's not about feeling superior. that's just how a debate works. what i get when i call a particular person out on his bs-ing is a long sigh and "why do you have to argue?"
to which i reply, "because you are wrong."
now it's something like. "i can do this," "well I can do THIS!" ....well that's just your average superiority complex. some people just like to think their better then everyone; like they have to be better otherwise they aren't good "enough".

We are just ugly and insecure beings, thats all. We also always feel that someone else tries to be superior over us so we want to get ahead of that person. I actually learnt to either keep my mouth shut and agree with that person or just state my opinion anyway and do not feel guilty.

people feel the need to appear superior because of the inadeqecy in themse;ves. If i make you feel little it makes me feel big. Therefore you make sure you have a strong self esteem no matter what you do or don't have. Thats go for looks, finance, education, etc.

you are worried about things you cant change by worry
you may have a way that makes people think you understand them thus they try to explain things to you because the need things to say
and you seemed to want to listen
its not a thing to worry about but to be proud about
your story reminds others of thier stories
people agree when they dont want to take the time to talk to foolish people be glad they want to talk to you,
they explain /talk because you give the impression you want to talk with them not too them
forget think ing its a contest
a conversation goes both ways
thats a lot better than talking to your/our self.

Fair point.
Of course, a free exchange of ideas without the requirement to "prove" every statement is predicated on the existence of open minds.
That's the hard part.
