Don't worry anymore about Greenwich Mean Time
The expression GMT is not more in use.The times change and the terminology with it. Since the 80's th expression UTC has replaced the old GMT.
UTC means Universal Time Coordinated

I must say that the expression GMT is very much in usage, at least in the UK.
