My friend, you already answered your own question, but I am not going to report you.
You should have indicated your sources for the accusations you made about the Catholic Church. Are you a Bible scholar? How did you arrive at those conclusions? Did you arrive at them on your own or did someone help you?
I am asking these questions because Catholics and Protestants use the same Bible. The only difference is Martin Luther, not the Catholic Church, removed some books from the original Bible. The Catholic Bible is still the same Bible we use before Martin Luther separated from the Catholic Church.
Have a blessed and peaceful day!

Pastor Billy asks: where is the question Thomas A?
just for the record,
1. the Catholic Church has married priests contrary to the claims otherwise, although the vast majority in the Roman rite have taken a vow of celibacy.
2. although most non-Catholic priests and preachers marry they are also second only to policemen with the second highest divorce rate :O so much for being able to handle both families at the same time.
3. Thomas A is a bigot I usually pay little attention to.

Roman Catholicism is #1 in the major branch of Christianity
Christianity began in the 1st century AD as a Jewish sect, and shares many religious texts with Judaism, specifically the Hebrew Bible, known to Christians as the Old Testament (see Judeo-Christian).
There is a diversity of doctrines and practices among groups calling themselves Christian. These groups are sometimes classified under denominations, though for theological reasons many groups reject this classification system.Christianity may be broadly represented as being divided into three main groupings:
1) Roman Catholicism: The Roman Catholic Church, the largest single body, includes the Latin Rite and totals more than 1 billion baptized members.
2) Eastern Christianity: Eastern Orthodox Churches, Oriental Orthodox Churches, the 100,000 member Assyrian Church of the East, and others with a combined membership of more than 300 million baptized members.
3) Protestantism: Groups such as Anglicans, Lutherans, Reformed/Presbyterians, Congregational/United Church of Christ, Evangelical, Charismatic, Baptists, Methodists, Nazarenes, Anabaptists, Seventh-day Adventists and Pentecostals. The oldest of these separated from the Roman Catholic Church in the 16th century Protestant Reformation, followed in many cases by further divisions.
Estimates of the total number of
Protestants are very uncertain, partly because of the difficulty in determining which denominations should be placed in this category, but it seems to be unquestionable that Protestantism is the second major branch of Christianity (after Roman Catholicism) in number of followers.

Jesus Christ foresaw that there will be groups that will breakaway from the Church he founded and so he gave the Church the sole authority to interpret Sacred Scripture. The teaching authority of the Catholic Church comes directly from Christ and is, therefore, infallible.
Matthew 16,18-20: "And so I tell you Peter, you are a rock, and on this rock foundation I will build my Church, and not even death will ever be able to overcome it. I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of heaven; what you prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven and what you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven."
Matthew 28,20: "And teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age."
Timothy 3,15: "But if I delay, this letter will let you know how we should conduct ourselves in God's household, WHICH IS THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD, THE PILLAR AND FOUNDATION OF TRUTH."
What did Martin Luther, the Protestant Reformer, state about the Bible? In his "Commentary On St. John," he stated the following: "We are compelled to concede to the Papists that they have the Word of God, that we have received It from them, and that without them we should have no knowledge of It at all." Regardless of what non-Catholic Christians may think or say, according to secular, objective historians, the Catholic Church alone preserved Sacred Scripture throughout the persecution of the Roman Empire and during the Dark Ages. All non-Catholic Christian denominations owe the existence of the Bible to the Catholic Church alone. Why did God choose the Catholic Church to preserve Scripture if It is not His Church?
"Do not err, my brethren. If any man follows him that makes a schism in the Church, he shall not inherit the kingdom of God." - St. Ignatius of Antioch ("Epistle to the Philadelphians," 105 A.D.)
St. Paul begs the early Christians to be unified in mind and in what they say. There can only be one "true" Christian Church. How can the Holy Spirit guide the Catholic Church, the Lutheran Church, the Presbyterian Church, the Baptist Church, etc. if all of those denominations have doctrines and beliefs differing from each other? There is only one interpretation of the Bible. Otherwise, people can and have "read" literally anything into It.
Belief in the Holy Trinity...God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. To blaspheme and reject the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable sin. There is only one God and the three Divine persons.
The Holy Spirit is depicted at the top of the trinity, (in the form of a dove), the sign of peace. God is on the left and Jesus on the right. The holy of holies.
The Roman Catholic Church believes and teaches about the angels and the saints, which Jesus believed in. Also mentioned in 1 Thess 3.13, being a sincere follower of Jesus in 1 Cor and also in Acts. Angels are the messengers of God, beginning in Geniuses, Psalms, Matthew, Mark, Luke and in Hebrews.
They also share the teachings of the Apostles, who were sent out by Jesus to teach, after His Resurrection. That's just a few things; they believe in God the Father, creator of heaven and earth, the resurrection, that Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit, they believe in the communion of the saints.
Jesus is the head of the Catholic Church and thus He shares the Body of Christ with all Catholics in the Most Holy Eucharist.
Both Jesus and Catholics share God the Father as our Father.
Both Jesus and Catholics share the Blessed Virgin Mary as our Mother.
Both Jesus and Catholics have been baptized.

ROFLMAO!!!
"The rest of the bible came from the apostles of God. 325 years before the catholic church."
Okay, what was there BEFORE 325 A.D.?
The Catholic Church was started by Christ when he said, "You are Kephas (Peter), and upon this Kephas I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." THAT is the root of the Catholic Church.
Just because there is no record of it being CALLED the CATHOLIC Church, does not mean it isn't the same thing.
Lastly, it was the Pope directing St. Jerome who compiled the Bible. It was King James and Marting Luther who tore things out of the bible.
Now, go and learn some TRUE history and stop reading Chick tracts that are full of lies and deception.

Dear Friend
The Bible teaches us 2 Timothy 3:16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.
This teaches us that all scripture was given to the authors of all of the books by the Holy Spirit, and comes directly from God himself. Therefore it is he who gave us the Bible, as it is he who gave us Jesus, Baptism, Holy Spirit and Salvation.
It is also worth remembering that we must not judge anybody, including out Christian Brothers and Sisters, whatever denomination they are. Judgment is only rightly and correctly given by him who is perfect and knows all
I hope this answers your question
God Bless

+ Catholic +
The Church has referred to itself as the “Catholic Church” at least since 107 AD, when the term appears in the Letter of St. Ignatius of Antioch to the Smyrnaeans:
"Wherever the bishop appear, there let the multitude be; even as wherever Christ Jesus is, there is the Catholic Church."
http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/text/ignatius-smyrnaeans-hoole.html
All of this was long before the Council of Nicea and the Nicene Creed from 325 A.D. which states, "We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church."
+ Presbyters +
The Catholic priesthood is described in the Bible as presbyters in:
+ Acts 11:30, 14:23, 15:2, 5-6, 15:22-23, 16:4, 20:17, 21:18
+ 1 Timothy 5:17-19
+ Titus 1:5-8
+ James 5:14
+ 1 Peter 5:1, 5
+ 2 John 0:1
+ 3 John 0:1
Today priests (presbyters) and deacons assist bishops (apostles) just like in the Bible.
The Presbyterian Church is named for this biblical vocation.
+ Celibacy of Religious Leaders +
Priests, religious brothers and religious sisters (nuns) as part of their vocation choose not to marry following:
+ The practice recommended in the Bible
+ The example of Jesus Christ, John the Baptist, and the Apostle Paul.
+++ Scripture +++
+ In Matthew 19:12, Jesus says, "Some are incapable of marriage because they were born so; some, because they were made so by others; some, because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Whoever can accept this ought to accept it."
Jesus says celibacy is a gift from God and whoever can bear it should bear it. Jesus praises and recommends celibacy for full time ministers in the Church. Because celibacy is a gift from God, those who criticize the Church's practice of celibacy are criticizing God and this wonderful gift He bestows on His chosen ones.
+ In Matthew 19:29, Jesus says, "And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands for the sake of my name will receive a hundred times more, and will inherit eternal life."
Whoever gives up children for the sake of His name will receive a hundred times more and will inherit eternal life. Jesus praises celibacy when it is done for the sake of His kingdom.
+ Matthew 22:30 - Jesus explains, "At the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven."
In heaven there are no marriages. To bring about Jesus' kingdom on earth, priests live the heavenly consecration to God by not taking a wife in marriage. This way, priests are able to focus exclusively on the spiritual family, and not have any additional pressures of the biological family (which is for the vocation of marriage). This also makes it easier for priests to be transferred to different parishes where they are most needed without having to worry about the impact of their transfer on wife and children.
+ In 1 Corinthians 7:1, Paul writes, "It is a good thing for a man not to touch a woman."
This is the choice that the Catholic priests of the Roman rite freely make.
+ Then in 1 Corinthians 7:7, Paul says, "Indeed, I wish everyone to be as I am."
Paul acknowledges that celibacy is a gift from God and wishes that all were celibate like he is.
+ In 1 Corinthians 7:27, Paul writes, "Are you free of a wife? Then do not look for a wife."
Paul teaches men that they should not seek marriage. In Paul’s opinion, marriage introduces worldly temptations that can interfere with one’s relationship with God, specifically regarding those who will become full time ministers in the Church.
+ In 1 Corinthians 7:32-33, Paul teaches, "I should like you to be free of anxieties. An unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord. But a married man is anxious about the things of the world, how he may please his wife." And in verse 38, "So then, the one who marries his virgin does well; the one who does not marry her will do better."
Paul recommends celibacy for full time ministers in the Church so that they are able to focus entirely upon God and building up His kingdom. He “who refrains from marriage will do better.”

Jeremiah 16:1-4
+++ Scriptural Examples +++
The Jews. The Talmud argues that a person whose “soul is bound up with the Torah and is constantly occupied with it” may remain celibate (Maimonides, Laws of Marriage 15.3). For example, Yahweh ordered the prophet Jeremiah not to marry (Jeremiah 16:1-4). Moreover, the Essenes was a group that was active in Jesus’ time that practiced celibacy and thought by most scholars to be the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
WWJD? What would Jesus do? Jesus did not marry.
John the Baptist and Jesus are both believed to have been celibate for their entire lives. Some scholars believe that the example of the Essenes influenced either or both Jesus and John the Baptist in their celibacy.
The Apostle Paul is explicit about his celibacy (see 1 Cor. 7). There is also evidence in the gospel of Matthew for the practice of celibacy among at least some early Christians, in the famous passage about becoming “eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven” (Matt. 19:12).
The concept took many twists and turns over the years and will probably take a few more before Christ returns in glory.
A priest is "married" to the Church. Some people think that a priest who takes his duties seriously cannot take proper care of a wife and family. "A man cannot serve two masters."
+ Dead Sea Scrolls +
The Dead Sea Scrolls contain no New Testament writings.
The Dead Sea Scrolls contain:
- All of the books of the Old Testament (Hebrew scriptures) except Esther
- Several books that never became part of the Hebrew Scriptures
- Numerous commentaries on the Scriptures
- Books having to do with
.....- Community life
.....- Rules for living
.....- Temple worship
.....- Other matters
There are many duplicates. Fourteen copies of Deuteronomy have been found and two of Isaiah.
The scrolls are important because they:
- Testify to the accuracy of the people who copied and recopied the Scriptures over the centuries. Despite minor errors, they show us that the Old Testament has not changed since it was compiled.
- Throw light on beliefs and customs in Palestine during times between the Old and New Testamants. There was far more diversity among the Jews than had been thought.

Churchianity is a pagan religion. It bears very little resemblance to the true faith presented in Scripture. The Almighty YHVH set up a system. He sent His “Son” YAHOSHUA to die for the sins of mankind so they would not have to. (They could choose to, but did not have to). Any person who chooses not to allow Yahoshua to take care of their sins, chooses to remain attached to their sins. They thus will wind up in the lake of fire which is YHVH's method of cleaning this world, and eliminating sin and sinners. The Creator set aside the Seventh day for rest and worship. Yes that is the day usually called “Saturday”. We are not saved by obedience, we are saved by faith. However we are saved FOR obedience. As He said in John 14:15 (and in many other places) “If you love me, keep my commandments.

Catholicism makes up its own rules, changes Gods laws, prays to a dead woman..it is a religion unto itself....and unless the people seriously go to the Bible and check what they have learned against what is in the Bible..then they may be lost. They do not need God..they have the POPE!
