How do I improve photo quality in Adobe Pagemaker?

I've been trying to place high res photos on my lay-out with pagemaker but when I paste it it looks pixelized in both large or small form. How do I fix this?

You cant.
Pagemaker only gives a low res. preview on placed images.
It makes it easier/quicker to redraw pages.

When you print the file, it will print at whatever resolution your placed image is.
If its a low res. 72 dpi image from the web, itll look like crap.
If its a hi-res 300 dpi photoshop image, itll print fine.
