If you need to calc out the total mass of rebar for instance, you figure out how many cm's you need, and multiply it by kg/cm, the mass/unit length, to get the total mass.

There is a KG/CM^2 whic is momentum...

It's kg per CM and there is no unit associated with it.

Kilogram is a measurement of weight. 1000 grams=1 kilogram.
It is usually kilo/s that is used to specify weights of most grocery or even oneself.
Centimetres is a measurement of length. 30cms.= 1 foot and this is a measurement to check one's height and length of all articles required to be measured, likewise.
