My eye doctor told me there is nothing that can be done. Just part of aging. SO may you could but the vision would continue to be effected by the aging process - that's my guess.
Buy lots of reading glasses - cheaper then laser surgery and they make stylish frames. Don't spend tooooo much on them though.

I think it is possible, BUT then again I am NOT a doctor. I think a Doctor is the only one who can answer this correctly as a Doctor would know your history and what the exact problem is. I know 2 people personally who had laser surgery. 1 of them is back to normal vision and the other has had the surgery three times with no improvements. Good Luck.

Both my brother and I had lasix done. My brother about 5 years ago. I had it about 2. The only regret I have is that I didnt do it sooner. My vision had to have stabilised for a couple of years before I could be a candidate. I was a bit apprehensive about it because there is a risk of blindness (which is very low but still a risk) and other side affects but I never had any. Only your surgeon can tell you if your a candidate. No matter what the difference in cost only go to someone with an exceptional reputation. If they recommend you dont get it done dont find someone who will.

I am not an optometrist but it was explained to me that the reason our eyesight deteriorates over the years is a build up of liquid, and thus pressure in the eye. This increased pressure results in the retina being less flexible and thus less able to focus. So we get more short sighted and need glasses to read etc.
I understand that laser surgery thins the retina and so renders it more flexible - sounds a bit dangerous, but it should correct your vision. Good luck.

Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Laser is used to change the shape of the cornea in front of the eye, so that the patient can see properly. More detail at http://eye-care.in/lasikeyesurgery.html

It depends on the cause: for macular degeneration; no. See an opthalmologist and get an expert opinion.
