Frankly, no one say my name is bad ever. Vica versa! everybody says it's nice and beautiful (I'm Diana)
But if someone do, I will ignore it. No need to pay attention to such sort of people, they are just tactless. And it will sound like an offence toward your parents, I presume.

if not, i would probably make a smart aleck remark:

"i know my name is unusual but don't think it will hold me back in life.

it's not like i have trouble interacting in social situations so i put people down about things they have no control over.

that's so sad, you must think about killing yourself, like, all the time, huh?"

really doesn't matter what they say after that, you just won.

You can't worry about what people say. If you fall apart everytime someone says something derogatory about you, then you will wind up in a rubber room.
