You CAN fix your teeth without getting braces. It may cost more though, as you will need to seek out a cosmetic dentist.
Porcelain veneers, alternatively termed dental veneers or dental porcelain laminates, are wafer-thin shells of porcelain that are bonded onto the front side of teeth so to create a cosmetic improvement for a tooth. Porcelain veneers are routinely used by dentists as a way to make cosmetic changes for teeth that are discolored, worn, chipped, or misaligned.

There is another option other than braces, but it isn't a cheap one.
Something that all the stars in Hollywood are fans of, this is veneers. Your dentist will file down your teeth take impressions, send these to a dental lab and make you temporary, about 1 week later you go back and the veneers are fitted.
BUT they do sometimes stain and also you have to be careful not to bite into things that are hard as they are easily chipped.
And the final draw back if you are in the UK, is that you will NOT get this treatment on the NHS, and they can cost anything from £300 upwards.
Hope this is helpful,
Sassym (dental nurse)

Braces would be the best bet, especially if you have never had any problems or treatment with your front teeth. You do not want to unnecessarily do any extensive work to your teeth unless needed. Once a tooth has a crown or veneer on it, there's not much else you can do to fix the tooth if it has more problems. The other option you could do is to get veneers or crowns. Veneers are frontal coverings on the teeth and crowns are full coverings. They file down your teeth so that the veneer or crown can fit on and use permanent cement to keep them on. I actually have veneers on my front teeth and they look amazing. You just want to make sure you go to a reputable, experienced dentist for this as I have seen a lot of awful looking veneers and crowns. I know here in Ohio for veneers and crowns it is at least $800 per tooth. Good luck!

It depends on the degree of overlap! If you are not interested in braces it is possible to have veneers or crowns! However in the long run veneers or crowns will work out more expensive since you have to change them every 5-10 years (10-15 years for crowns). Also it is not a good ideal to be removing parts of your teeth that are otherwise healthy. Go for braces if this overlap affects you. Veneers and crowns can result in having problems with your teeth later in life. They were originally designed to improve the appearance of teeth for people you had damage to theirs, but as you may be aware it is very common for people to have crowns/veneers to improve the appearance for purely cosmetic reasons. That is, they already have good teeth but want them better.
Having veeners involves removing the top layer of enamel from just the front surface of the tooth (it is like a false finger nail in a sense).
Crowns on the otherhand involve removing a layer of enamal from all around the tooth - basically leaving you with a stub, in which the crown is glued over the top. The crown is made to match your desired shape and size.

You might be able to use braces. the most affective thing would be to have veneers fitted, where the teeth are filed down and permanent straight ones are fitted over the top, it's costly but a good cosmetic dentist can do this beautifully for you.

Braces are the only chance you will have of fixing your front teeth. The braces don't stay on forever and you will be a lot happier when you see the results.

Sorry to tell you but there is nothing you can do other than put yourteeth into the hands f the 'experts'. Only orthodontists can perform tooth magic on your teeth. Unfortunately it doesn't come cheap.
