Dude....relax....u can't possibly do something right now at this age which will make u feel bad for the rest of ur life!....
If you want this girl as ur gf, then u have to take it slow. Fools rush into things - and ur not one of em'. It's the girl who has to ALWAYS ALWAYS show interest in u!!!.,...it doesn't matter even 0.5% if u like her - nope!. She has to like u first and then u make a move!.....
how do get her to like u? show her ur a man - u can take responsibility. that'll seperate u from the other boys. Spend time with her (NO GROUP DATES!!!), show her a good time when ur around, be funny and cocky (BUT NOT ARROGANT)...no comments about sex (BEWARE, she'll think ur a pervert and run away!). Keep the conversation light and funny. Do an activity she enjoys doing and u can show her ur a great guy. BUT don't ever say that u love her or anything - that'll freak her out!
Don't jump into giving gifts on Valentines Day cowboy!....You don't even know this girl. Start slowly by spending time with her - that's the first step. She has to start thinking about u, missing u when ur not there - that's what will get her to like u. if you 2 have something going on later, then u gift her something. Not now!
Signs she likes you : She'll touch u lightly on ur arm, play with her hair when ur around her while looking at u, mirror ur body language, bat her eyelids more, smile a lot etc. lots of indicators man!.....Let me know if u need to know more....Been there, been thru this .....and have been a winner! :)

There is no comfort in what will be in 5 years. The dilemma is current and very real.
There are many gilrs that like you and yet you may not like them the same way. That is part of life and we get used to it sooner or later. If she does not like you, grin and bare it. It will happen again as you too will not like some of the girls that will be after you. Finally, when the attraction is mutual, then all's well with the world. Till the next time.
