They are treated the same as any other person. I would love to know if any of these people who have answered your question have ever actually been to a muslim country? I doubt it. I am british born and raised and over 2 years ago converted to Islam. I have been to quiet a few muslim countries and my husband lived his whole life in a muslim country. There are people of other faiths who live there and of no faith at all. It does not make any difference to a muslims if you are a believer or not neigbhours are treated with kindness and respect whatever there faith ( or no faith at all). So to answer your question they are treated just fine no different to anyone else. Half my family are athiest or christians am i to treat them differently now i am a muslim? No of course not. Maybe if some of the answerers had actually ever been they would know that there answers are wrong in every sence of the word.

Given the vicious nature of the Saudi regime, I daresay any atheist there would be wise to conceal her/his beliefs very carefully. These people are utterly intolerant and get away with murder because of their oil money (indicating the deep hypocrisy of the west). I'm not Muslim bashing - I know and respect many Muslims. But Saudi, Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran - you can keep their political/religious leaders and laws.
UEA and Kuwait might be better countries to have divergent beliefs. But not Saudi Arabia.

the situation I even have with them is they are asserting purely some are extremists yet you by no potential hear the moderates communicate out against them. 9/11 - no average muslim speaks out koran burning- total muslim worldwide is going loopy it merely sounds like they care extra approximately themselves and their faith than they do human beings :-/ Edit: see what I advise? individuals voters by no potential got here on your united states of america and killed harmless women individuals and young infants my chum, and many of them are adversarial to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, you think of all of us help our government? you mentioned do no longer generalize and yet you're generalizing superb now. the place replaced into your outrage on 9/11? doubt you had any in any respect.

Atheists are executed there. It is a bigger sin and worse crime to Strict Muslims to be an Atheist than to be a Jew or Christian or even a murderer
