I have been having my hair dyed for years mostly highlights and now its multicolored. I just want a normal colour. Would it be safe to put a semi permanent chesnut on.

you could put a semi on but be careful of the colours it will leave your blonde bits after the semi washers out

Chesnut is lovely and I think that it should be alright on top of your colours you have at the moment. You have a good taste in picking chesnut.

Speaking from personal experience, I would suggest biting the bullet and getting it treated and coloured again at a salon. Once is has been ravaged by years of colour, it needs some TLC by professional hands. If you keep colouring it, you will find it is straw-like and go orange and thin - yuk!

Go get spoilt! You are worth it!
