If we are created in God's image, then does God have a belly button? Also, if God is perfect, would that mean that he does not have a belly button since a belly button is pretty much a scar?

These aren't questions to make fun of God or anything, but semi-sorta serious questions. Points to ponder if you will.

Yes, good and serious points to ponder about the form or image of God.

In the Vedic scriptures, The Supreme Lord is narakrti, He resembles a human being. This confirms the statement in the Bible, that man was made in the image of God. Therefore, we are reflections of God's image, we somewhat look like God.

A.C.Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, ISKCON founder says,
The soul is within your body. The soul is the part and parcel of God. If you try to understand what is the soul, then partially you understand what is God. If you study yourself, then you study to some extent what is God, because you are the sample of God. It is also stated in the Bible that human being is made under the image of God. So if you study yourself—that is called meditation—then you can understand what is God. Therefore the yoga system is recommended.

If The Lord was born of man he would have a belly button.

But God is a Spirit so i dont think he would have a belly button.

But you never know i could be wrong. Only the Lord could answer that one for you.

To be serious a little, we were not created in God's physical image since the Bible says that God is a spirit and spirits do not have physical bodies. We were obviously created in His spiritual image. Just exactly what that means has been the discussion of theologians for centuries.

This question is asked ten times a day.We are not created in Gods image, read Genesis again,God filled the earth with males and females in His likeness, long before He formed Adam from the dust of the ground.

Where those words are recorded in Genesis it means that we are created with the same QUALITIES that God has.

Made in the likeness of his Grand Creator, Adam had the divine attributes of love, wisdom, justice, and power; hence he possessed a sense of morality involving a conscience, something altogether new in the sphere of earthly life. Animals have only instict to guide them. In the image of God, Adam was to be a global administrator and have in subjection the sea and land creatures and the fowl of the air.

It was not necessary for Adam to be a spirit creature, in whole or in part, to possess Godlike qualities. The Creator formed man out of the dust particles of the ground, put in him the force of life so that he became a living soul, and gave him the ability to reflect the image and likeness of his Maker. “The first man is out of the earth and made of dust.” “The first man Adam became a living soul.” (Ge 2:7; 1Co 15:45, 47)

It isn't a literal meaning. We are created in God's image such as a stick figure of a man is the image of a human being. There's a world of difference between a living, breathing, person and a one dimensional drawing.

Likewise we are created in God's image because we know the difference between good and evil, not because we're a mini-God of some kind.

You and I do not look like God. Gesesis 1:27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them". So God looks like male and female in one boby.
