You should try getting a hold of a "FLORA" for plants in the Dominican Republic. This is a book that helps you identify plants by looking at specific features. Unless the flower is very unique or well known the flower picture won't be enough to identify the plant.

A simpler way to identify them is to ask someone from the Dominican Republic what the common name is. If they are very common plants then almost anyone from the area can give you a basic identification.
