O.K. First of all Irish whiskey is,unlike Scottish whisky spelt with an 'e'.
There are a whole range of Irish whiskeys available and with varying tastes. There is no one shop that stocks these. They are all freely available in the supermarkets or off licences. There are, however many different tastes in one whiskey to another.
My preference would be Jameson or Bushmills but its a matter of personal taste.Either way,the drink is far smoother than Scotch whisky because the spirit has been distilled three times instead of twice.
Happy drinking and enjoy your visit

There used to be a little place at the bottom of Grafton Street that sold speciality cigars and whiskeys. You might find something a bit different in there. Failing that you can follow signs to the Jamesons Distillery from O Connell street near the GPO building.
Or you could just pop into an off license

If you are in Ireland, you will need to look for "Whiskey".

(Whisky is from Scotland!)

Jamesons, Bushmills and Ballantynes whiskey are just three that spring to mind. I'm sure they sell them in most, if not all, bars in Dublin!
