Yes there is, british may not have the empire they used to have but they still control a lot of things from behind the scenes.

Not sure exactly what you question means.
If you mean the English Pound - this is a reference to money produced by the Bank of England.
If you mean the Pound as a world currency, then this applies to a number of countries who have a 'pound' as their currency as opposed to a 'dollar'.
If you mean 'Pound Shop'. This is a shop in England, and there are two not far from where I live, who sell everything at one pound per item.
The only other two 'pounds' I know of are: -
a) an English pound weight
b) a sheep pound where lost sheep are kept until their owner turns up, who must then pay a fee to get them back.

I should think theres a few places in England that has pound worlds...also pound stoppers. Anything you buy is worth a pound or just over.
