You should only be with one person and you need to decide, however hard it is.

Being in the same relationship for soooo long can be hard. Things do get a little stale after time. What you have to remember is that 'the grass isn't greener on the other side'! Who is to say that you won't feel the same about your friend after being with him for a while. You have to ask yourself if you really do love your boyfriend? If you do maybe it will be better to stay away from the other guy. On the other hand if you really like this other chappie I would sit him down and ask him how he actually feels. If he doesn't feel the same way as you then there isn't a problem. There is no reason to feel guilty fancying someone else its just if you end up doing something you may wish to regret!!!!

Its natural to fancy other people when your in a relationship however you may find the grass isnt always greener on the other side.
You say you love your boyfriend and need to be sure before you marry - i would sit down and have a proper chat with him and explain you do love him however you want to have a break so you can make sure that you have done what you need to before committing to him otherwise you will always wonder and may decide to cheat which you dont want.
I know this sounds harsh but if your boyfriend loves you he may understand it.
Alternatively one way to get around this would be by having a threesome - that way @ least he'd be there.

i wouldn't hurt your boyfriend if i were you because that could just lead to you losing both guys in the end ... you've been with your boyfriend for 4 yrs which is a already a huge commitment and you have to think if you really want to give up something that special for another guy who you may not actually love but you're just lusting over. if this other guy is chatting up other girls then maybe he ain't interested in having a relationship with you or he could be a guy that may end up cheating on you....and you say you love your boyfriend so why are you even having feelings for another guy??? ... i think you need to seriously think about what it is that you really want and then make a move in whatever direction you choose. good luck!

I think you need to make a decision but be careful not to throw away something very special with your current partner.

I'd watch this whole friends thing too as it could be seen as more by your partner and you may risk everything even if you don't go for the long term friend. Tread carefully.

You have to choose between them, you have to know whom you love more and follow your heart but you have to know that every new relationship is nice from the begginning and when time goes on,things changes and you will regret for leaving the old relationship that was cool and didnt have any probelms,i am not saying you will have problems but rather be careful and think fully on what you are doing.

Don't get married unless you are really sure.I was married for 25years and we were in love for a long time.Things turned sour but I stayed with him,I had my dad living with us.My children were living their own lives.
Then out of the blue,I was`nt looking, I met a lovely man and we fell in love.
13 years on we are happily married.
Please be sure of what you are doing, don't cause people you love a lot of pain in years to come.

If you have gone this far, You obviously dont love your boy friend. Quit using him. Show a little maturity and stop playing both ends against the middle for the sake of your insecurity.

The grass is always greener on the otherside.

Just be his friend and you get on with your relationship. He hasn't said that he likes you because maybe he doesn't want a relationship with you.

He calls you to meet up but that is because he likes spending time with you.
