Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the life and nobody goes to the Father except through Him ( he did not say anything about speaking in tongues)

We go to heaven ONLY through the shed blood of Jesus, nothing else in heaven or on the earth can save us. I know there are people who think that you really are not a Christian if you do not speak in tongues- this is WRONG- it says in scripture- one of the gifts given to believers after conversion is speaking in tongues, not given to all believers- plus if it was the sign of being born again- Jesus would have said- my death is not enough, if you truly believe, you will speak in tongues- it never says that. Every true Christian is Spirit-filled with or without the gift of tongues. If you have accept Christ, do not fear, you are a believer.

Speaking in tongues is a gift from the Holy Spirit not a ticket to heaven. The same goes for people who say they are filled with the Holy Spirit. Some people I know who say they speak in tongues are actually faking it.
Salvation can be achieved by anyone who confesses his sins and accepts Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. He must be free from any mortal sin and also do good works.

If you do not have the spirit, which is the life of Christ, you will certainly not pass from death into life (enter heaven) -- because only His spirit is life eternal.

Because of this, it is important to know that you indeed have the Holy Spirit. The evidence includes the ability to understand God's Word for your circumstances today, to worship in spirit and in truth, to show the fruits of love, joy, peace, etc., and the gifts. The gifts may come and go but the fruits of love are eternal.

St. Paul ends his long discourse on tongues and other gifts with the famous passage. "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not love,............ it profits me nothing....."

Then read Chapter 14 of I Cor. and know that you should desire to speak in tongues and to have other spiritual gifts -- BUT you will see that you cannot and should not limit God and you are, as it says in verse one, to following after love and not after gifts; which will one day soon perish.

I know that I have the Holy Spirit because I can read I Cor., chapters 12, 13 and 14 with understanding, without confusion, and with thanksgiving.

I Cor. 14:26 is a short list of things which the spirit will show through you. Tongues is only one gift, and the least of those, Love, joy, peace, long suffering, rejoicing, believing, enduring, thinking no evil, are proofs but must be seen together.

What you need to show as a Christian and what you need for heaven (the short run and the long run) is not tongues, or any other gift alone, but the life of Jesus Christ manifest in you and through you.

Study I Cor. 12, 13 and 14 and ask for wisdom in this matter. If you speak in tongues but cannot hear His voice through the Word, nor find the fruits of the spirit in your life, you are not one of His.

1) OK

2)No

A)Isaiah 65:17-25...Please read...

[These show that the chosen ones will live on earth forever, along with their offspring under the new heavens, which is God's Kingdom, (Let your Kingdom come; Matthew 6:10) (Daniel 2:44)]

The chosen ones are immortal, along with Jesus;1Cor.15:50-57.

3)Proverbs 2:21,22 For the upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it. As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it. (Serious)

Paul said "if I speak in the tongues of men and angels and have not love. I am but like a tinkling cymbal. The Lord Jesus said that If you believe in and have faith in Him and believe that Father God raised Him from the dead then you will be saved. This is in the book of John Chapter 3.

Speaking in toungues is just one of the gifts of the spirit and IS NOT a sign at all that one has the Holy Ghost. Devils also speak in tongues. Jesus said "by their fruits you shall know them". If you are spirit filled we see the Holy Spirit living in you through the life that you live. Its not about gifts as gifts and calling are without repentance. Its about the life.

speaking in tongues take u to another level in spritifualy life.
but only salvation will take u to heaven

ur freind is not right.
i am pentacostal, i pray in tongues, but as Paul said if i don't have love, tongues is nothing.
in our church we encourage people to seek for more for their spiritualy life, but salvation is asking God to be in ur life is more important than anything else. this is the way to go to heaven as in John 3: 21 .

Lets think about this for a second. The bible gives us many accounts of people getting saved and it reads like this. And as many as beleived recieved the holy spirit and spoke in Toungs. Then in another part of scriptures it is writen, and when he saw that the gift of the Holy Spirit was given to the gentiles. He rejoiced seeing that even the gentiles had been given repentance unto salvation. And another scripture states and by the laying on of hands the Holy Spirit was given.
Salvation is a real born again experence, And you recieve the Spirit of Christ at salvation, The Infilling of the Holy Spirit is anthor part of salvation. Not all christians recieve the Holy Spirit. Nor does it say they do in the bible. God doed not give him to a disbelieving people or to a people who refuse to seek him or seek to know him. Why do people think you get the holy spirit at salvation. We are saved by recieving the spirit of Christ. The Holy Spirit is given to those whom God is profecting in the image of his son. He is profecting the saints of God. Now when you see a christian that has not grown in 30 years and does not understand the bible nor is filled with the light of God. I will assure you that he has not the Holy Spirit. We are seal by the Holy Spirit with the spirit of Christ at the time of salvation. But we only get the holy spirit when we have become loving toward God the father and are in fellowship with him and seek his face. Most christians are taught wrong on these matters today. Christ church and his method of operation in the chruch has not changed.
As for our catholic friend, When will you have worked enoof to recieve your salvation. Also as you church promotes the pagan redeemer Mary over christ how is her blood Going to save you period as she was a sinner. And as the catholic church teaches another gosple then the one the apostles taught why will God spare the people of this pagen church.

No,that's not true.Speaking in tongues is not the proof of salvation.Paul clearly states that there are different spiritual gifts,and that not everyone speakes in tongues.

"There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit;
there are different forms of service but the same Lord;
there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.
To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit.
To one is given through the Spirit the expression of wisdom; to another the expression of knowledge according to the same Spirit;
to another faith by the same Spirit; to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit;
to another mighty deeds; to another prophecy; to another discernment of spirits; to another varieties of tongues; to another interpretation of tongues.
But one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing them individually to each person as he wishes."
1 Corinthians 12:4-11
