In Revelation 7 when John heard the number of those sealed it was 144,000, which is a metaphorical number representing the twelve tribes of Israel, times 12 times 1000, which in effect means times an indefinite number. After John heard the number he saw a vast multitude that no man could number. What is significant about the tribes is that their names represent all those who are sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ, and all the names represent a characteristic of all believers, for example Benjamin means son of my joy, Joseph means son of my right hand. The tribe of Dan isn't mentioned in those sealed because Dan means judgment, and for those in Christ there is no judgment, because the judgment against them was nailed to the cross.

By implication, the number 144,000 will appear in a lot of answers.

Others will claim more and others still will claim none until the world finally ends.

Then again, there is the constitution of Heaven that provides some basic facts:

I will tell you exactly how many souls will be in heaven by 2012 if God, Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad, Lucifer and all the great spirits have anything to do with it... Every person that has ever died. Yep, all 20 Billion souls (around 27 Billion (7 Billion living) people living or have ever lived by 2012).

That is because a great truce has been forged, which most ignorant and blissfully uneducated christians refuse to accept.

I can notfind any specfic number to verfiy what you are asking, and so I am not sure that the Bible ives us that information, but In

Jer. 33:22 it says this,,
I will make the children who follow one another in the line of my servant David very numerous. I will also make the Levites who minister before me very numerous. I will make them all as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sands which are on the seashore.’”
so having this in mind, I would think that the number will unnumerous as far as we are concerned.
But The Bible is very specfic about Hell, Isaiah 5:14 records that "hell has enlarged itself and opened its mouth beyond measure."

Hell has plenty of room. But thank God, so does heaven. :)

Acts 2:38 was the starting point for the early church, when it came to what to do to obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is plenty of room at the cross of Jesus Christ for all who want to find His redemption.

There is no specific number given. The Bible just says there will be tens of thousands times tens of thousands.
Rev 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
There is no limit given but whosoever wills will make it.

'twas written (as Architect directs) that 144,000 will be spared from the torment of judgement and be closest to God. Not so that only they resideth in heaven, this is never said!
