i saw one episode where the dad spent $500,000 dollars on this girl's party.
What is going on in their heads???
(My dad was watching and told me that even if he made a lot of money, i wouldn't ever have seen a cent of it (never mind the fact that i'm 22 and have a college degree and a full time job, ha ha). i was proud of him.)

those are ways people with money make up for not being available to their children. My godfather did the same with his kids only on a smaller scale. Every time he'd beat the crap out of his wife he'd go and buy his daughters something nice or give them money. Cause nothing says "Sorry about beating the **** out of your mother" like a nice pair of $100 jeans!!!

I wouldn't go that far, but I do think that they are spoiled brats that need to be taught a lesson. I don't care how much money your parents have, they deserve to be treated with a lot more respect than those teens show them on the show. And the teens don't get that it's "THERE PARENTS MONEY, NO THEIRS." If that was me and I acted like that, my parents would have cancelled the party without a second look. But those kids are just so accustomed to having their way, if they don't get it they scream and pout. Even if they don't get the car they want, it could still be a great party but to them it's "ruined" cause they didn't get the car they wanted. It all boils down to, it's the parents fault. They spoil them all their lives, they let their kids treat them like crap. If you ask me, the parents should file for bankruptcy cause that is exactly where they are headed with spoiled, selfish, ungrateful brats for kids.

sounds like you have a dad with a head on his shoulders. I think the parents are terrible parents.....I think allowing your kid to have a party at the house with a few close friends on your birthday is a very nice and loving thing to do for your children, but spending any more money than what it takes to buy your child a new outfit, a few pizzas, decorations and gifts (maybe even an old cheap car for someone who's turning 16 and getting their license) is absolutely thoughtless. how is spending thousands of dollars on a child's birthday going to be beneficial to the child? I feel bad for these spoiled rotten children. i could go on and on......but, basically, probably most of the parents who do this dont have any idea how to properly raise and love a child and instead just throw money at them. sad :(

Nothing wrong with it.
That same guy might be giving 15 million to charity, every year.
People should not judge others, based on how much money they have.
The father is giving a half million to his daughter. Maybe she'll grow up to manage a charity fund, and give millions away to others, herself.
Seriously, think about the reactions everyone has to the amount of money, without knowing the situation. That, is what prejudice is all about.

There are many very stupid people out there. They spoil their kids rotten, give them no boundaries and then are surprised when they turn out selfish. Go figure.
