Ghusl is taking a bath to PURIFY yourself from Impurities.

A Ghusl is an obligatory bath that should be done before a person intends to pray or touch the Quran.

For men:

Wet dreams, masturbation and having sex (ejaculation) will make them impure in the Islamic terminology.

For Women:

Periods and having sex will make them impure as per the Islamic terminology.

Method for Ghusl

It is the same for both men and women. Clean your body of all the impurity (semen, blood etc).

Rinse your mouth with water ONCE. (Once is obligatory, thrice is if required)

Rinse your nose with water ONCE. (Once is obligatory, thrice is if required)

Wash your entire body with water such that NOT even the space required by one hair is dry.

Thats all.

After the Ghusl you become pure and can pray.

Assalamu alaykum Really you can combine thr two between Ghusl and shower but you must say your intention at the beginning. If you make the intention for Ghusl you can do shower too although it is not part of the Ghusl because it is inter related Ghusl or big bath based on Fiqih should be done if you had sexual intercourse or sperms came out Muhammad pbuh said in his hadith"Really big bath is done when your sperms poured out.Reverting to Islam and a wife who has delivered a baby after 40days, and a woman who has finished her monthly period, they should make ghusl too.In ghusl you should pour down water until your whole body including hair is wet After that you must wash your both hands, wash your privy parts and then make wudhu for shalat and at the end was both legs

Ghusl is to take a complete bath after impurity - eg. after having sex or at the end of a menstrual period, etc.
The method is more or less as follows:
1. Clean the private parts
2. Make wudu'
3. Wash the hair
4. Pour clean water over the entire body

There are 3 compulsory acts in ghusl:
1. Gargle the mouth
2. Clean the nostrils thoroughly
3. Pour clean water over the entire body

And Allah knows best!
