or at least, i don't want to die. but the thing is that all the time i think about different ways that i could klill myself. if i have a bottle of pills i see myself taking all of them, or if i'm on a tall building i see my self jumping off, or if i'm waiting for a subway train i see myself jumping in front of it when it comes. but i don't actually want to do it, i just can't stop imagining doing it. whats wrong with me?

ok, it's not just that i think about it, it's like i really, really want to do it except that i dont want to at all. but its like i dont just think about jumping in front of a train, i kind of feel my body move forward a little, and its like i almost have to think about not doing it, only i don't think that i actually will do it, either. idk, its hard to explain i guess.

What you have is called "Suicidal Ideations with no definite plan". MOst times this can be helped by visiting with therapist, or a psychologist. You might be wary with this problem, because it may lead into "Suicidal Ideations with plan and intent." And we wouldn't want that to happen.

I was the same way when I was a teenager....I could look at anything and know figure out how to kill myself with it. So people do go through the same thing. Just remember that if you think you might actually make that jump or take those pills call someone and let them know. 1-800-Suicide is the National Suicide preventions hotline. You can call it at anytime and maybe speaking to someone about this might make those thoughts a little less frequent! Remember you are not alone in your thoughts!

you're not alone. I felt like that for months last year. I'm guessing there is something serious going on in your life right now, maybe some extra stress, I used to feel like a stitched up doll who was being pulled apart strand by strand. I don't know if you want to hear this but the best thing to do is to get help. Call your dr, or just go right to the ER, tell them how you are feeling and they can set you up with a counselor to help you through this. These type of feelings happen to a lot of people, you aren't the only one, but you need to stop it before it gets worse. Please get yourself to a Dr! you can also look up the local suicide hotline in your area, it should be in the front pages of the phone book. good luck.

As strange it might sound, there might be nothing at all wrong with you - just an above average awareness of your own mortality. I think about the possibility too, but I have no interest in actually "offing" myself either. See a counselor if this is really bothering you and you want to make it go away.

There's nothing wrong with you. It's compeltely normal.... As long as you don't actually do it. I do it as well at times.
You see sometimes police officers, investigators and all imagine themselves in the victims position so they can try and figure out what happened. Your doing the same thing, you probably read about something somewhere about somebody who commmited suicide (or you probably watched some movie with few suicide scenes) and your just imagining what it would be like if it happened to you...

A chemical imbalance is probably the cause. If you can find a good psychiatrist, he will get you on t he right path. Call the Mental Health Facilities in your area. Some Shrinks are doctors now and only give meds. They do help.

Your best bet is just to talk to a professional about it. You could be "clinically depressed" or simply curious. I for one, am simply curious. Besides, if its not harming anyone then its really not a problem.
