There are advantages and disadvantages in a democracy. But all citizens enjoy the right to select correct political leadership in a democracy. In a democracy we could question even the PM or President. It is for the people to chose intelligent and educated politician to lead the country. Present ills in the political set up are due to apathy of intelligentsia to come forward as leaders as also the common men who elect corrupt politicians.

We can save our democracy when we start caring about the vote that we cast. Before casting our vote we should have thorough information about the politician, regarding his personality ,his qualification, his integrity then only we should cast our vote .The constitution gives them the right to campaign. During the campaign he can propagate his ideas, his policies if he comes to power. If a politician cannot be trusted with our life or any of the citizen then he or she shall not deserve our vote. The type of governed we are ,the type of government we get. If we are conscious of our rights then only we can form a good government. Any politician that thrives on the hatred and religious intolerance policies should be voted out of power. It is in our hands to carve a bright future for our country. The important thing is not to become a mere spectator when we have a say in the making of the government and preserving our well deserved democracy..

First, state the country your from. Most Americans are self centered and assume that you are an AMerican too. I looked at your name and was suspicious, so I checked your history and found out your Indian. Your country is not a Democracy, but rather a Republic. True Democracy doesn't work, especially for huge nations. Minority rights get ignored and with a population of a billion, thats a big problem. Force your country to give more rights back to the state. Smaller nations do well in most indices such as standard of living, Health and Judicial system. In smaller government corruption is more detectable and far more actionable. Word of mouth travel fast on who is good and who is bad. Corruption is easier for large government to. In the united states, you have to pay one small group of people to bribe them to use use your product. If most government activity occurs in a state level, SOmeone has to bribe 50 states to have the same effect.

first we should sack out all the illetrates from the politics,and ride there properties, every politicians should have a well educated teenage peron to know about the wareouts. today politics means cruality. every educated person says that he wants to become a doctor, enginner, pilot etc, but no one say that he wants to become a polotician, today we see the teenage politicans who have a very bad cruel background.if every indians starts to include himself in politics we can save our democracy. as i said that with every politican there should be a teenage person appointed then c the views and changes, hurrey give them the designation as for minister we have finance minister, appoint him as asst finacne minister, education minister, asst education minister. today india is someting like the minister dosent know what is happing in there department. a education minister dosent know the courses available in india, the finance minister dosent what is the value of indian rupees compare to other countries, agriculture minsiter dosnt even know the types of land used for cultivating, home mister who dosent know anything handles the state. why should an ias or ips listen to a person who has got powers, i prefer that there should be a meeting once in a week with the rulling party and the oposition party with all the ias and ips and knwo what is happening in there places. people round the 4 walls wants to sit and discuss and do good to the country, pls understand country means we people, democracy means we people, with out us they want to take the disicison and later suffer with all the bunds, murders, robbery etc.

By getting internal audit done , of their political activities and their finances (including their relatives and associates) using a pannel of qualified and honest professsionals who would be empowered by law to publish their opinion on socio-economic-political state of affairs of any politician based on guidelines and laws laid down for this by the govt. through an institutional form of set-up.
