Here in Canada we have a number as the Canadian major brewerys are foreign owned, Molsons is American majority owned and Labatt's is owned by the Belguin Interbrew Corporation.

We do Carlsberg, Bass, Lowenbrau, Guinness, Carling and several others, I have had the European brands from those countrys and there reasonabily similar, the only one that is not quite the same is the Guinness, ours brewed in Canada is to carbonated, I used to go to pubs in Toronto Canada, that served draft Guinness from Ireland and there is not comparison's.

The recipes are mostly the base of all beers around the world, it is the hops and barley or added grain that make the real difference, I was a chef in a hotel chain for many years here in Canada, and travelled to most of the provinces here and Europe, Asia and Jamaica and beer is about the same everywhere you go, it is just the ingredients change, and the purity of the water they use, I read were they claim the water used for British "Carling" is for a spring in Burton on Trent, that is how they differ from each place, the way there made not the beer itself.
