I'm new at this office. Seated behind me, in another division is this nice looking guy. Tall, good build, seems kind, and just my type. We had some small talk before, occasional passing-bys and holding open doors, but I don't know what to do next to get to know him better. I fuond out he likes to have lunch at the ground floor cafetaria, and I need some change from eating from my lunch-box with the other married staffs. Oh yeah, he's 29 and I'm 27, we're both single. Maybe the only singles, on our floor.

Invite him to lunch. Since you work together I would start off slow. Take lots of time to get to know him before you even think about taking it farther. You may not even like him, he may become a good friend or maybe something more. However, you won't know until you invite him to lunch. Good luck!

Being single is the best reason to give you a push towards speaking to him. Ask him if he would like to have lunch with you. Take him out away from the groundfloor lunchroom. Get away from the building. That way you can begin with small talk--maybe talk about the office a bit, then go into some personal questions. Make the office talk short since I'm sure he and you would like to have an "escape" from work on your free time. Then bring up some movies or TV shows or something like that, or even a sport, then expand your conversation from that. I'd wait for the 2nd lunch to start with the more personal questions. When you both leave from lunch, thank him for accepting your invitation-- and smile.

Do not bring lunch on one of the office days (occasionally) and you can go to the same cafetaria where he is having lunch. This way perhaps you would be on talking terms while in lift or climing down and up the stairs.

Stop,take a breather,u just so new there and u already know whose single & whose not.
Patience pays,the guy's only being nice cuz u new,he wants to make u corfortable, dont u think he was going to invite u 4 lunch if he really wanted to, knowing u new?
There's no next step cuz u way to fast 4 him & me here.

don't mess at the working place. how do u know he is single? maybe he is seeing someone, by making the first step and getting his refusal u will look stupid and there will be some gossips spread that u re desperate. at least wait till he does the first move, if he is interested he will

I guess you are waiting for him to ask you out. ASK HIM OUT! Talk about a movie that's coming out and see if he wants to see it. Talk about a live band you like and see if he's heard them play. Talk about an out of the way restaurant...ANYTHING!
