why don't you convert to another religion?

For me, it's the same answer as to why I don't convert to Christianity or Judaism or any other religion.

Islam does not fit my inner sense of the sacred.

My inner sense of the sacred is that everything in the natural world has a spark of the sacred in it; sacredness is not *separate from* the natural world. The Divine is *manifest* here in the world as well as being larger than it's manifestations.

Also, I really do think that "God" is FAR too big to be contained in any one religion, any one way of worship, any one way of understanding, so any religion that presents itself as being "the only true way" is placing too many limitations on the Divine. We each have to find the way that brings us closer to the Divine, and that is NOT the same way for everyone.

And the more condemnatory a religion is about others, the less of the sacred is in it, IMO.

There is no "one true" way to be a flower, or a tree, or a rock, or a cloud, or a dog, or..... no "one true" way is ever seen in Nature. If a desert daisy and a water lily could have conversations, they would disagree about the nature of reality itself. And each would, within the scope of it's experience, be speaking the "truth" - THEIR truth, not the whole of truth.

This is why I often say that each religion is a pathway to the Divine. I do NOT believe that if one is "true" then all others must be "false".

The desert daisy's "truth" IS true. And so is the water lily's. Asking the desert daisy to accept, and live by, the water lily's "truth" would be destructive to the desert daisy.

coz its not a correct religion.Christianity is the oldest and the rightest. The story says that Mohammad stole the bible from his teacher a priest and went to mekkah.therefore ismalic views and prosperation was taken from chtistianity.+ islam is a very strict religion and limits ur actions and considers silly stuff as major sociological problems.its too complicated and not modern.oh ! and how can u base ur religion and have faith in a person who stole a holy thing..isnt this considered a sin in islam ? If the prophet sinned..than how r u supposed to believe such a religion.

Because it's one of the religions most harmful to believers and non-believers alike.

Why don't you randomly switch to a different religion? Or better yet, become religion-free altogether?
