My Boyfriend just told me we were on a break. Im going away this weekend, and want to get another tattoo. When we werent on a "break" he said not to get any tatoos without him....
Do you think its ok to get a tattoo this weekend? After all...HES the one that said we should be on a break...not me.

Weve been together for 6 years, and we just had a BIG fight....hence why he pulled the break card....
God he makes me angry....
i just dont want it to be something i regret doing just bc i was mad, ya know?
and i have 3 other tattoos already, so its not like its my first tattoo

Never let someone else control you. Be true to yourself, and you will have a better life.
If this is a pattern with him, get out now. Controllers become abusers when they don't get their way, and physical abusers become killers way too often.

Get the Tat, you are on a break . I just can not for the life of me understand why so many people in relationships keep talking about being on a break what kind of s*** is that.. Call it what it is ..a time out to get some strange..... To me if it was a real relationship you would not want a break , GET THE D*** TATTOO he said do not do this without him Whoop d dayum doo he is the one who does not want to be with you . DO IT hope it turns out great ,would love to see the ink when its finished .

Sounds like you two didn't set any ground rules at all, so I'd say go for it.
As long as you don't get some other guy's name put on you, I doubt that it's really that big a deal. Or, he's some real control freak.
p.s. Are you sure you want a tatoo? Think about what it'll look like when you're 90.

i agree with katherine, i have many tattoos and they all have meaning, dont do it, he doesnt want you to go get a ta2 without him, i can relate to that, ask yourself how u would feel if he went and did somethin u asked him specifically not to, break or not? concentrate on dealing with "the break" whatever happens you can always get your ta2 at a later date, do it for the right reasons, not retribution, him needing a bit of space is a bit of a cop out on his part, he should be talking it all through with you rather than running away, i wish you good luck, with both your boyfriend, and your ta2

If you want to get a tattoo because you want the tattoo - go for it.
If you want to get the tattoo because he told you not to - don't.
Spite is not a good reason to get a tattoo.

you should never put your life on hold for anyone or get a ta too something perminate on your body on a whim so if its something you truly want go for it .I'm sure hes doing things on the break you wouldn't like .

its really up to you, its your body and if he wants a break give it to him just make sure he doesnt break your heart and i say go get a tattoo hunny

It's your body. If you want the tattoo, get it. He doesn't have a right to say what you do with your body whether he is with you or not.
