My 4 year old son had been diagnosed with hydrocephalus and was operated on last October. Now he is blind from one eye and they tell me there is nothing that can be done. What can I do to prevent him from getting hurt?

Yes, I have a niece that is blind in one eye. She does nothing that i know of to keep from hurting her good eye.

There are people who are blind in one eye. I know a man who is nearly blind in one eye but can see perfectly with the other. Although I am not legally blind in either eye, one of mine has horrible vision while the other is good.

This man mentioned to me some disease he had, as a child, that causes this but I didn't catch what that was so I'm unsure as to whether it's the same as your son's. If you'd like I can ask him and find out and get back to you.

I thought the word blind would indicate that the person can't see. but if one eye is good then he or she is not blind.
