Spirituality is superb whereas religion can be cansidered a path towards spiritualism. Practically religious people seldom achieves the characters of spiritualism. With following religion, one can be spiritual as later has no KARAM KAND and there is only one divine power without any shape, picture, etc.

Is religion a path to Spirituality ?
In Hindi we say Bhakti.( worship) We do bhakti to find Bhagwan ( one who creates our fortune ) When we find Bhagwan that is gyan ( spiritual knowledge given directly by God)or the fruit of Bhakti.
In Bhakti all are confused,just follow blind faith.But in Gyan there is a meaning to everything.The rituals of Bhakti are based on gyan but devotees do not know what they mean.They do it from love and Bhavna(pure feelings).
Spiritualism is another form of religion.

spirituality is the advanced stage after religion.religion conditions you in believing god .Spirituality takes you a step higher and makes you ponder what i am doing in this word.why god has sent me here and how to go back to him. And that motivates you to lead a straight life.You also begin to understand the importance of prayers,helping the needy and spreading the message of love......Agreed it is all said in scriptures but when you become spiritual you stop associating all these to religion and start believing in one god and one message.....Well it's difficult to explain this in such a short space but i believe i have succeeded in communicating the right meaning.
