Cheating is any physical contact with a person other than your partner! This goes for kissing, oral, heavy petting and sex... if you are in a committed relationship then the only person that you should be doing that stuff with is your partner.
The only way that it would not be cheating would be if you had an open relationship and that contact followed reestablished rules that you and you partner had set before hand.

There are various degrees of cheating and I think it has to do with how mature you are, how long you've been together and what type of relationship you have with your partner.

Cheating can be kissing someone else, having sex with someone else or even spending too much inappropriate time with someone else. If you betray the person who loves you and trusts you, then you're cheating. Don't do it!

Cheating is the very action of acting on the idea of engaging in some sort of romantic or physical relationship outside of a commited relationship with which you had previously established.

Cheating at any level is a disrespectful attitude towards a mate. You disrespect yourself also--you know it is wrong and yet you sink low enough to do it. It is immature and certainly not dignified. If you have a close mate--work on making the relationship nice. If you have inclinations to go out with others----while in a serious relationship---you are not being fair-----and you know as well as I do-it is wrong.

Cheating is defined as an act of deception, fraud, trickery, imposture, or imposition. Cheating characteristically is employed to create an unfair advantage, usually in one's own interest, and often at the expense of others[1]. Cheating implies the breaking of rules. The term "cheating" is less applicable to the breaking of laws, as illegal activities are referred to by specific legal terminology such as fraud or corruption. Cheating is a primordial economic act: getting more for less, often used when referring to marital infidelity. Cheating as described by John McGuiggan involves the playing of only three kings in a card game whilst pretending that it was four. In popular parlance, this is described as "doing a stevie" in reference to the shocking revelations in 2007 that Steven McCrossan, of Omagh, Co. Tyrone is a card c

Do not do unto others that which is hateful to you. If you would hate it if your special someone was kissing someone else, then that's the line you draw for yourself. If you would hate it for them to even flirt or talk online with someone else, that's the line for you, too. If you're in an exclusive relationship and don't see other people, then you shouldn't see other people!
